Lophiobagrus

I thought I would share a really bad picture of a tang catfish you don't see to often... It is a Lophiobagrus. Less seen than P. typus !!

I got them from Barbie ( if you know who she is ) at the last catfish convention. They are a mouth brooding catfish that is very nocturnal in nature... hence the bad shot !!

Not a terrible pic, just an unwilling subject. I love catfish (almost as much as cichlids) but don't care as much for the strictly nocturnal species. If they'll at least come out for food it's not so bad.

They come out for food

A little less shy than p typus but not much.
