Holy smoke-- Do I!. I will even offer to DELIVER them to you. You pick a time and I will be there![]()
(I'm in Herndon, but have some "mom helping" to do in 22033 Fairfax so you would be nearby).
How many do you want? I have a fair number of them in a 10 gallon tank.
That's the main advantage. They also eat leftover food and decaying plant material.what are the advantages of having these in your tanks? Keep the substrate aerated?
BUT it's kinda cool when the lights go out at night... you can sit and watch and it's like the sand is erupting! Then you'll start to see them come up to cruise around. Like an invasion LOL.
They do work well to keep the sand stirred up, especially if you have it deeper than a half inch or so, or have rocks/driftwood/plants/stuff that you don't move when you're siphoning or manually stirring up the sand.
