Heaters will stick

if you drain the water and forget to unplug it. Unplug it and replug when the tank is full; heater sticks to its highest temp. The stick-on thermometer only goes to 86, so goodness knows how hot the water really is.

Unplugged for a couple of days. The next move is to see if the heater will return to normal. Otherwise it will be tossed.

I really like those thermal heaters that could be positioned at the bottom of the tank. Although one stuck and the temp went up to 106 degrees and cooked fish. But I prefer a heater that can truly be fully submerged.

I like the Aqueon Pros because they are black and plastic. Also the temp setting has been spot on. In the process of testing one laying at the bottom of the tank during a water change without unplugging it. So far, so good.
