I just started using this free program which allows you to view photographs on your computer as you shoot them. This is done by hooking your camera(via USB cord) to your computer.

I found this on one of my photography websites. I believe this application is for Nikon DSLR's only(Sorry Canon owners:p)

The webpage lists all the Nikon cameras that will work. It works on all the commonly used operating systems XP,Vista,Win7 etc. The Nikon D80 won't work on Vista but will using XP or Win7 other than that all other cameras listed worked on all three systems

To get started- http://www.diyphotobits.com/download-diyphotobitscom-camera-control/

Click DOWNLOAD 5.2

Download the program

Label a folder for the pictures to go to.

Connect a USB cord from the camera to the computer

Go to your camera menu and switch your USB setting to PTP( theres a link to a youtube video if you don't know how)

Click start Tether on the computer and you're in business:D

If you run into a snag look at the comments at the bottom of the page, someone else with the same camera has probably asked that question already, if not ask, someone will help you.
