I have free to a good home a young Bumblebee Cichlid (crabro) I acquired as a
refugee during the purchase of a second hand 55 gallon aquarium. The original
owner was a newbie and this fish was the last of his dying cichlid population.
It's an old and sad story we've heard too often...
Anyway, I bought the tank for my maturing Angelfish (scalare) and have no room
for the little Bumblebee who is likely to grow larger than all my other fish and
eventually use them for food. Right now the little cutie is in my 10 gallon
quarantine tank and looking for a suitable home. He/she is about 3" long, has a
great appetite, is growing fast, always very yellow and without spots on the
anal fin. If I can't find any takers, the little tyke will probably go up to the
LFS where it risks being sold to another inexperienced aquarist. Not good.
If interested, please call Jim at 301-262-6243 in Bowie, MD.
