I dropped by Tropical Fish World in Gaithersburg (16529 S. Frederick Ave) to pick up some worms and thank Jim for donating the fish tank set-up to our library class and he let me know that they will be hosting a free seminar on "Bacterial Fish Diseases" at 1 PM on Saturday, May 16.
Dr. Victoria Mary Hollifield runs "Best Friend's Veterinary Hospital" in Gaithersburg and will give a veterinarian's point of view on how to identify and treat tropical fish diseases. She has actually had fish as patients!
She will focus on baterial infections and common mistakes that aquarists make when treating their fish. She will also answer questions on the care of small animals and reptiles.
