Have two maturing Male Pseudotropheus Saulosi that I need to clear out of my hospital/holding tank (to make room for a holding Rusty). The Saulosi are not fully colored yet. They are still yellow with the bar's coming in on the face and black on the dorsal fins.

Free for local pick up/delivery. Looks like I will have at least one more male coming up the line as well.

AquaStudent,

Looks like the other user has lost interest. I have not heard from the user since my last pm. I am opening this back up since I have to find a new home for these two guys quickly now.

Here is the link to a post that included pictures:
http://www.capitalcichlids.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15945

There is more black on the dorsal fins and a little more banding on the face since the pictures were taken. Pictures are a good representation of size.

They look great. I'm not sure what my plans are for the January meeting. I'd love to go but I also start my last semester of college up in New York on the 22nd so I was planning on leaving the 20th (and able to attend the meeting so we will see).

I also have a bunch of projects in the works for the next two weeks. Keep looking for a home but if you aren't able to find a home for them by the meeting and I'm able to attend (and you are also) then I would be glad to take one or both.

My concern (other than moving the fish although I've gotten quite good at it over the past two years) is my 55 has some fully grown cichlids in it. Now I do have quite a few smaller guys including a labidochromis caeruleus (yellow lab) at about 2.5" and a chewere elongatus topping out at about 3" but that doesn't mean the new guys will be able to handle it. You've been watching your Saulosi grow over the past year. What do you think? Perhaps that just means I need to stock up at the auction (and other purchases) at the January meeting :D

I have a female kenyi and metriaclima greshakei (two greshakei actually) available for trade if you're looking for some females. Also, I have a batch of about 5 unknown cichlids I found in my tank about six months ago. I was waiting for the "What are you bringing to the January Meeting" thread to see if anyone has interest in raising them but I may just make a thread.

Sorry for the novel :)

Going for the "Dwarf" tank for my 55g. So, Saulosi, Rusty and Syndontis Petricola is what I am going to stick with. My male Saulosi rules with a just hand, he doesn't go out picking a fight but will finish it when needed. These two males started to establish their pecking order but nothing out of hand. If you have a male Keny, it will probably bee to much for the Saulosi. However, if you don't and want a nice looking smaller blue with black bar fish, the Saulosi are pretty easy to keep.

I'd love to have one. I don't have a male Kenyi (and may be giving my females up at the CCA January meeting...I haven't decided yet). But I'll check back with you closer to the meeting. I'm located in 22015 so if you're near that we may be able to schedule a pickup prior to the 19th.
