Fake Plants?

Anybody have any fake plants they can part with? Looking for various sizes, natural looking types, not those neon colored types. Plastic or silk is fine. I much prefer the weighted ones as opposed to the ones with the plastic anchor that you have to dig into the substrate.

I'm trying to get enough to nicely "plant" a 33 gallon tank.

I picked up a few from Michaels crafts. They have no weighted base but are bendable. I placed the ends through the holes in the bottom of the smallest terra gotta pots they carry. This held them so they sunk and allowed me to position them as needed.

Those bendable ones have metal in them. Wouldn't that pose a problem?

I have a huge bag of fake plants in my storage room I will never use. I can't even remember if they are real looking or not.

I might have one tall plastic plant that I got a while back from a packaged tank sale. Since I don't do fake plants (as a member of GWAPA, that would be sacrilege :angry3:), I'll try to remember to bring it to the holiday party.

Thanks, Arlene. I was a member of GWAPA also once, and I am sure that Damien will have SOME comment about me using fake plants! LOL... but I just could not get "it".

I just need a few choices for the 33 gallon rainbow cichlid tank, and wanted to check for any scraps hanging around in the club, before heading out to any store to purchase any, really.

I would think it would depend on the metal. I have no clue what metal is used in these plants. Regardless, I am not worried about it. The plants were between 2.99-4.99 each and I used a coupon to get one half off.

I buy mine on e-bay, seller's ID is lkcharly. Quality is as good as any from the lfs and the prices are waaay better. All but the square mats have ceramic bases to hold them down.

Yeah Todd- that was a good link. He has an ebay store with great deals. I am thinking about contacting him regarding a specialized package- all swords.
