Experience with Acrylic sheet

Anyone has experience working with acrylic sheet or plexiglass?

I am basing someone idea DIY to build a nanoskimmer. The type of material I am talking about it 1/8" thick. Besides cutting them to specs, I also need to know how to joint them together! LOL

I think there are a couple of videos on youtube that show how to do it, as well. There's one that even shows how to bend it... kinda interesting...
