DIY Melafix dose?

Does anyone know the dosage of tea tree oil per gallon? I'd imusify it with soy lecithin. And does this stuff actually work, or is it pretty much all woo?

Ive made it up in the past, I found somewhere that suggests 5 ml pure tea tree oil to 500 ml distilled water. Then dose 5 ml of that per 10 gal.
