I shipped some 5+ inch fish just a couple of months ago and didnt lose a single one. Heres what worked for me and I think it will work for you too.
1) fast the fish for 3 days. (less poop in the bag)
2) declorinate and treat water (PH)24hrs in advance (do not use tank water)
3) find out whats the latest you can drop the fish off for overnight delivery. ( in my case 8:00 PM )
4) Drop in one bag buddy per gallon ,double bag the fish in the pretreated water in 1/3 water 2/3 air.
5) Ship in a styro box and drop off fish as close as possible to the last call for overnight shipping.
This worked for me and im pretty sure it will work in your case, I hope this helps. Good luck.
