Alleles and Genetics

So I think I have the hang of angel genetics so far. My question is, when trying to find out what a DoubleDark angelfish and a koi angelfish pairing will make, I want to do a Punnett square. So far. I have "d" and "d" (double dose of recessive gene hence the lowercase) for the DoubleDark angel parent and I don't know the koi alleles. What can/should I put for the koi? My goal is a black angel with orange splotches. Kind of like a koi, but predominantly black and orange, no white (hopefully with selective breeding)

Well, from the Angelfish Society's Phenotype Library (http://www.theangelfishsociety.org/phenotype_library_2007/)

it describes Koi as:

The gold marble blushing phenotype is probably best knows as a “koi.” The koi angelfish is a gold marble angelfish with two doses of the stripeless allele. A koi angelfish has one of the following genotypes:​

Gm/Gm – S/S
Gm/g – S/S​

Also, are you sure that Double Dark is recessive? I'm reading that it's a dominant allele.

Remember that kois usually have more white than red, and feeding color enhancing food is what really brings out the color. Without the food, most kois stay pretty white any way.

I thought I was recessive, but now I believe you are correct, Christine.
