50 Gallon Stocking Ideas

I am about to set up a 50 gallon aquarium (48x12x20) and I can´t make my mind up on what fish to keep. A common community with angels and rainbowfish is getting too old, I want to try some different fish, maybe a biotope. I have no reqirements, I hope some of you have some ideas.

Ooh how about a ton of Nano fish? You could do something really neat like 50 green rasboras or several large groups of different nanos

What kinda water parameters do you have? Gh? Kh? I hate fighting my water to keep fish healthy.

Hi Felipe - You could make the jump into Malawi cichlids with a breeding group of peacocks + some milder mbuna... or a couple of types of mbuna. Or some Lethrinops... or some Lake Victorians...
