    A few of my tanks

Yeah, the red sand really was a shame - I thought it was very close to that red dirt they've got over there. I had planned to make a Lake Kanyaboli tank, but the papyrus I wanted turned out to be very expensive. So I ended up just sticking a bunch of generic plastic plants in there. It looks...

    Ahoy there! Any Vic fans?

The only question I've got for now is what happened to the fish you collected.

    A few of my tanks

Thanks! It's natural red Repti-Sand. It was an experiment that didn't work out, I'm afraid - it was very fine and went anaerobic on me. I've since swapped it out for PFS.

    Lithochromis xanthopteryx pics

Got my almost decent camera back up today. Here are some snaps of my L. xanthopteryx. The dominant male only rarely sits still, so the pictures of him aren't so great. These guys are breeding like crazy - I'm setting up a fry tank this week to receive the offspring. Thanks for looking...

    Ahoy!

I got the coral switched out for sand. I'll get a picture up when I can get a decent one. The fish seem to greatly prefer the sand. I'm fighting a bit of bloat with my saulosi. :( I really don't want to medicate my tank, but I've got the temperature up to 82F and have added aquarium salt...

    Ahoy!

I've got P. saulosi and what I believe to be Lithochromis xanthopteryx in there. Sorry for the poor picture quality, my camera's been down for a while.

    Ahoy!

I'm in Richmond, Virginia and took up cichlid keeping this summer. I'm running a 75 gallon African tank, thinking seriously about changing out my crushed coral substrate for sand here soon. :jumpy::wub: Love the emoticons here.
