Venting

So, I was wondering: How old do mbuna have to be to vent them successfully? I have ones 1-3" in a 29g, and want to get sex ratios so i can tell how many more females I need.

If you have access to a jewelers loop with around 20x magnification a very good light source a 2 inch fish is possible ic you know what to look for. If you can't tell don't overdue the search cor it can be very stressful. Use three buckets one fir all the fish then one for males and one for females so not to look at the same fish twice.
