Tropical flakes vs. Cichlid flakes

i recently ordered cichlid flakes and wondered if there was any real difference between tropical and cichlid flakes. ie. Is it the same stuff, or are tropical flakes bad for cichlids??

I'm not sure but i was looking at the flakes they sell on livefishdirect.com and they listed ingredients so I'm sure you could determine a difference by comparing ingredients as well as effects on the fish.

Look at the ingredients and protein content. Sometimes cichlid flakes have lower protein to prevent bloat (allegedly).

I feed mine Kentish.com tropheus lovers flake and color flake as well as nls and pellets from kensfish
