Hi!

Here are some juvi Mbunas I bought at various points.....

Pseudotropheous Salousi: I seem to have rather more males then females (the males are just starting to get their coloration.....) Any one have any females or want a few stray males?

The previous ones are all going to be male I think, and these I believe are female:

These are some Melanochromis Johannii I picked up at the last meeting:

And these are some Labidochromis Caeruleus I picked up at AquaFest2007 (I'm thinking of calling them the Mbuna whales, as they all seem to be rather plump......)

Amanda, Your pictures are cute. Nice colors. Healthy fish. I especially like the blue ones (Melanochromis Johannii)because you got yours the same day I got mine. (Blue pictures look just like the fish in my MBUNA tank.)

Now I need to know more about the orange collored ones (Pseudotropheous Salousi) in the first photos. Did you get them at the CCA auction some months back?
Later,
Marge

EVERY group of P. saulosi was male heavy. Keep an eye on them as they will kill each other off VERY quickly. Provide lots of hiding places!

Those yellow labs look way to plump, cut back on the feeding of those for a little while.

Well, for anyone wondering how the color develops..... Here's a pic I took yesterday of the most expressed males. The original pics had a pic of the most expressed male at that time..... The color is really starting to develop!!!! And I saw this guy trying to entice a fish to mate..... Only problem is, I think it was anther male!!!!! Silly boy..... But that stripe under his eye really makes him look like a bandit!!!!!
