Sick fish

My 20 inch umbee is floating in place facing the bottom of the tank with his tail pointed towards the top. When I approach the rank he swims to his hide and hangs there until I leave then he goes back to the weird position. What can I do. I feel like he’s sick but I don’t know what kind of sick.

Could've been an injury, fish that size could've hurt himself on something
