Reasons for Mbuna to breed

Everytime I do a water change on my Saulosi tank, the dominant male starts shakin like crazy! Sometimes my hand is still in the tank with the siphon. I think the cooler water being poured in and the filters hitting the water harder simulate a rain. What other good incentives do you guys do to get Mbuna to breed?

Protein helps the immature ones but In my tanks its just a cycle right now between the first and seventh each month all my fish breed I could set my....calendar by it. Not sure why different species different tanks same time every single month. Every few months it may advance a few days to say the 5th-10th

You could show your Saulosi a video of Ad Konings' talk about their declining population in the wild. If nothing else that might guilt them into breeding.

I don't know about R Kelly? Maybe a faster pace with a little pizazz.
I think mbuna like a little salsa they shake their tails a lot lol!
