When does the classification of Fry turn to Juvie? Is it size or age ?

1"? I'd say more of size than age, since even the same species of fish will grow much more rapidly in cleaner water with more food.

It's a tough question as different fish grow at different rates and have different adult sizes.

IMO, when it starts to look like a fish (not a speck)......It's a juvei., and not a fry.

You might also try a functional definition - when the young fish can eat the same food as the adults, they are no longer fry, they are juvies.
