I saw Tron last night, very good movie. Definitely not the best of the year (Inception is still better in my opinion, and Shutter Island was also very good), but I did feel my movie ticket was well spent.

I just need to see 127 Hours, Black Swan, and True Grit now .

I just got back from seeing Tron Legacy and all I have to say is just one word..."AMAZING!"

Ya know Ed, it's interesting that you bring that up because when I recently saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in the new IMAX theatre in Silver Spring the sound was soooo loud.

Evidently, the IMAX theatre in Columbia Md that I saw Tron in was a bit older and the sound was calibrated just right so it wasn't that loud. However, I did like the sound track, but for me the movie itself was visually amazing to watch.

Took Grandpa to see True Grit thurs, the previews made it look better than it was IMO... Then again I'm a tough movie critic. It was good but not like Tombstone or anything... Grandpa liked the John Wayne version better, he snuck a nap in the middle of the movie and I gently nudged him when the action started picking up. He said he enjoyed the movie tho.

Westerns aren't the same after Deadwood (HBO series). There was a rumor that they were going to make a movie to tie up some of the loose ends.

It was pretty cool. I invited him over for some pit bbq, knowing that would get him away from the tv and his 24hr western movie station and when we finished eating i told him we were going up town. He didn't know what to think when we got to the theater :lol: Hope they make that movie so we can do it again...
