Not many, as they may become a delicacy to cichlids. You want plants that have thick leaves and not easily shredded. Now if you're talking about dwarf cichlids, any type of moss can work.

Plants and mbunas generally don't work well(for the plants anyway). Haps and peacocks would definitely work with something tough like java moss.
