In a 29, it's going to be tight. Stick with smaller, less aggressive mbuna species or single (non-jacobfreibergi) male peacock. Your kenyi may not work... they've been known to be terrors, especially if they are trying to breed.

If you can upgrade to a 36" long tank, your options open up a little bit. A 55 would really let you play around.
