Is this a parasite in my blue acara? If not what is it?

I've noticed my electric blue acara has a clear tube sticking out his/her anus. Is it a parasite or something?

Not sure from the picture but looks like it needs to move some stuff through its bowels. I would feed using garlic and metro get things loosened up a bit. See if that helps.
