Hello CCA,

My semi-local club up here in the North is doing a group buy from Imperial Tropicals. I was curious what experiences y'all have had with them. I've read a few reports and it seems their reviews are positive but want to hear first hand.

Also, what is the quality of the fish? Are they equivalent to a source like Dave's or Wetspot or more on a mediocre LFS level?

I was thinking of getting a few Synspilum vieja but if the quality is poor it's not worth it.

That is Mike Drawdy's farm, they have an exceptional reputation. I have seen there displays at many conventions, and the stock is always top notch, though I have never ordered from them personally.

I met Mike at the ACA Convention in Louisville and got some fish from him. Great guy and fish!

They will be one of the vendors at the Catfish Convention. They had a good display at the ECC/Monster Fish convention.

They are in the next town over from me I've ordered pleco's and a few cichlids from them in the past and had no issues at all fish were comparable to most other online farms and packed well like I said no issues I'd order from them again

Awesome. Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger on this.

Buying more fish is better than paying the electricity bill right?

Just got my fish in today. This is by far the best packaging I have seen in the fish orders I've placed. The fish have arrived in excellent condition.

Thank you all for validating Imperial Tropicals. I now can say that I can recommend them.

I'm in a major school crunch but I'll get up pictures soon(ish). I promise!

The severums have colored up somewhat and are looking pretty epic. The synplisum are showing some color.
