Help with breeding Jewels

Prince

The ONE who is The ONE
A pair of my jewel cichlids laid another clutch. The last clutch the female ate. I would like to raise these so I am need of suggestions as to what to do. I have a 2.5 gallon that I can place the eggs in away from the parents.

these are some general questions I have:
Does feeding the parents while eggs are present promote them to eat the eggs? Should the parents not be fed until the eggs hatch? (if this is the right term)

Any other breeding tips you have would be appreciated
