Fish Rack build

check the tickness of 1/2 compare to 3/4

So I need help to make sure this is done right.
I'm going to return the 1'' pieces and now not sure if I should go 1/2 or 3/4 PVC.
I keep hearing about a loop to keep pressure up.
This set up is only for the rack. pump on a shelf above rack, flex vinyl tubing to a vertical 5 feet PVC pipe (size 1/2 or 3/4).
Then drill as needed to add air valves.
Air valves to connect to sponge filters.
At the end of the pipe, I can add another valve to serve as bleed valve.

Someone please check this plan and let me know if it sounds ok.
For now, I'll move forward and use 3/4 PVC.

Jose, I'm guessing you are suggesting thicker pipe wall is better. yes?

what does the bleed valve do for you?

relief pressure specially since I'm under using this Alita pump.
while doing research, I found many people suggesting a bleed valve.

Wife noticed what you're up to yet?

She knows I'm up to something "fishy"

what is helping my case is that I already brought the rack to the unfinished side of the basement. I'm sure I would be in trouble if I put it in the finished side. :D

She's still asking me what that is. no tanks yet so she is still clueless.
by the time she sees the tanks, it will be too late.
