featherfin substrate.....

Do featherfins need sand to spawn or will they manage with a medium sized gravel?

They're in a 4' 150g T with gravel, which I JUST changed from sand after my tank crashed. I'd like to keep them in that tank and I just really hate to have to get the gravel out and put sand BACK into the 150....

More than willing to change substrate, but would prefer not to if not necessary.....

Have you ever seen pictures of them in gravel on the net? I think there is a reason why.

I've got my featherfins in sand, gravel can damage their barbells, for spawning mine have their own cave.
