Matt is definitely wrong. (Ask him about cichlids, but he can't be trusted on sunfish.) The top two photos are most probably Longear sunfish, Lepomis megalotis

The only other candidate is Green sunfish, Lepomis cyanellus, the green sunfish.
I'd say the bottom photo is a couple of bluegills, Lepomis machrochirus.
The key to telling sunfish species apart is to look at the opercular flap. It differs from species to species.
To complicate things, sunfish species will often hybridize with one another, particularly when fish and wild life types stock them where they shouldn't.
(They don't call me "Sonny" for nothing.)
I'm surprised to see the longears in New York. They were reputed to be in short supply in New York.
