As announced at the meeting last week, the CCA will have a table at the AquaMania Marketplace where we will sell items on behalf of our members. The rules and regulations for selling items are listed below.
So, if you've got some fish, equipment, plants, or decorations that you'd like to sell at AquaMania, but don't have enought to set up your own table, you may want to sell them through the CCA table. Also, if you will be attending the event and have a few moments to spare, we could use volunteer help selling at the table.
Post up if you have any questions. MyGroupAuctions.com should be set up and ready to take registration for items.
Rules for CCA Marketplace
1. You must be a CCA Member in good standing to sell at the CCA Marketplace table.
2. You must be either registered for AquaMania or for the Marketplace to sell at the CCA table.
3. The split for all lots sold at the CCA table is 30% to the CCA and 70% to the seller.
4. All lots need to be registered using MyGroupAuctions.com (MGA) no later than 10:00 PM on Saturday March 9th. No lots will be allowed to be registered the day of the Marketplace.
5. The selling price of each lot should be entered in MGA as the minimum bid.
6. All lots need to be labeled as they are for the monthly mini auctions, including lot number, starting price, species, etc. CCA reserves the right to reject any items not labeled correctly.
7. All fish must be bagged properly and it is recommended that fish are double bagged. CCA reserves the right to reject any lots that are not bagged properly. Please do not bring fish in buckets if at all possible.
8. All lots must be delivered to the CCA table in the Marketplace by 11:00 AM on Sunday March 10th.
9. Any equipment for sale must be in good working condition. No broken items will be accepted. No opened chemicals or food will be allowed.
10. Prices on lots will drop by 30% at 1:30 PM to increase sales. Lots will drop to 50% at 2:30 PM. Discounted prices will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar. See below for examples.
11. All unsold lots must be picked up within 15 minutes of the Marketplace closing. Any unclaimed lots will become the property of the CCA to be disposed of at their discretion.
12. A maximum of 8 lots will be allowed per seller. If you have more items to sell, consider renting your own table or splitting one with a friend.
13. Please leave a contact number when you drop off your lots. You may need to be contacted throughout the day if something happens to one of your lots. If you have a fish that isn’t doing well, the bag will be removed from the table and you will be contacted to rebag the fish.
14. Any donations to the club still need to be pre-registered through MGA. Please include the sales price in the listing and make sure to check the “donation” box.
15. Payment for lots sold at the Marketplace will be made via check mailed to the member’s house within 2 weeks of the event or a cash payout at the April CCA meeting. No cash payments will be made on the day of the event.
16. The CCA will not negotiate with buyers on the price listed on the bags. If you are available in the marketplace, we may contact you to discuss with the buyer directly, but the club will still take their cut of the final sales price.
