For those of your experienced with rainbow cichlids:
Will a male switch partners? I have a mated pair who are in with two of their offspring. I believe at least one of the offspring is a female and she appears to be interested in the male. He seems so far to be sticking with his original mate, but not sure about the long run.
In my 40 breeder I have six babies grown out and two have mated and now have babies, too. Another pair also seems to have gotten attached. That leaves two outsiders. I can't tell the genders of those not paired off and there is no room for them anyway . . . anyone willing to help catch them can have them . ..
