Anybody else have R/C cars. Not the Toys R Us Specials but actual you have to build cars. I am getting back into one of my many childhood hobbies and spending more to with my son. I have a Traxxas Rustler from 1996 or 1997; a HPI RS4 Sport from 1997 or 1998. I may be jumping into nitro soon with a Traxxas Nitro Sport. Car One says I have too many hobbies.

lol i have two traxxus one nitro and another with a 10 double turn motor... and a team losi gt....
Your Losi is an old school car isn't it. I think remember when it came out. Somebody just built a nice dirt track minutes from my house that opens next Saturday! I forgot how much fun it was to drive them. I also forgot how fast quick motors run down stick packs. Thinking about a veilion kit and Lipo for my Rustler but that would cost more than the truck in self. I had an RC10 graphite rolling chassis but I can't find it. My dad has a old Duratrax 2WD tuck but I can't find it. My son is picking up his Rustler after the first. Man that Nitro sport is calling my name I need longer run times.

I am dating my self but I remember when the Clodbuster was all the rage. I have always wanted a Midnight pumpkin too and a TA03 Respol Ford Escort. Oh Yeah and a Tamiya Lunchbox.

I spent several years racing Serpent 1/8 scale gas on-road. Before that was a lot of 1/10 and 1/12 scale indoor electric on-road. Don't even want to image the $1000's I spent doing that. I remember going through over $100 worth of tires at each 1/8 scale race. I traveled up and down the East Coast with a group of friends all Summer long. Good Times!!! I may even have some photos somewhere.

Here is what I have been looking into but can't talk myself into going electric. I just want long run times and I'm not going to get it out of this.

My car was a 2-speed that would go over 70mph. I had the distinction of crashing mine full speed and having it burst into flames. Pretty spectacular really!!
