That is to say, have glass tops and a fixture for a 36 x 12 tank, as well as various and sundry to trade and thus acquire said tank as it's about the only smallish standard configuration I've yet to try. Humor and/or regale me and I shall endeavor likewise ...

Whatever happened to the process of utilizing context clues? I am teaching my second graders to do so as we speak, though it would seem somewhat in vain.

Hi Sam,

I think I have a spare (as in...in the rafters of my garage) 36"x12" tank. I'll measure and if it's the magic size (or close enough for your liking), it's yours!

...and this is why, in New Jersey, we have named a Rest Stop on the NJ Turnpike For Mr Whitman.

A whole entire rest stop?

Did someone with the state not care much for his writing? A rest stop strikes me as sort of ignominious, but I guess all the forests and parks and seashores and refuges were already spoken for, or perhaps there's a limit to how much honor NJ can accord someone from NY. :D

Could be it's a really exceptional rest stop – would have aimed for something more along the lines of "Whitman Woods" myself.

As an aside, Sam - I measured the tanks last night:

I have a spare 36" x 12" and a 36" x 10".

Either or both are yours if you want them... I can bring to the May meeting or arrange something else :)
