$1/gallon tank sale at Petco

is having a $1/gallon tank sale until January 21. They have 10G, 20G, 29G, 40G (breeder) and 55G tanks.

It is a good tank size, but is a lot less popular than it used to be for some reason.

why dont they sell anything over 55 @ 1.00 a gallon. even if it had to be ordered im sure hobbyists wouldnt mind.

I think the loss would be too much on anything other than a 75. Also I think that Petsmart and Petco generally don't do much to cater to the advanced hobbyist.

I believe that the glass thickness goes up after 55g which in turn makes the tanks more expensive to make.
