Hey guys
Right after basketball practice I went to check on my new angels and I found some eggs! I was surprised to see that they didnt spawn on the filter intake.
These angels actually survived a pretty bad car accident on their way home so maybe the extra stress plus new water triggered it...
Yep, came home from work and sure enough, they did it again. Female is guarding about a silver dollar size clutch. Great timing as the 1$/gal sale is still on....will need to get another tank.:D
UPDATE on spawn #1
I have 6 left from the first spawn. They are about 1/2" now and doing well...
Hi everyone. I need some urgent advice.
I got six young Electric Blue Rams about 2 weeks ago. I put them in a 10 gal. tank, just to grow out a little bit, along with 4 Pseud. Gertrudae, a few chili rasboras, 3 Ammo shrimp, a pygmy cory and an otto. and 2 assassin snails. Yeah, I know it's...
After the first successful spawn I pulled the fry and placed them in a 10 gallon grow out and moved mom and dad into a 10 of their own. The Ac110 running on the 55 had a small leak so I siliconed it. In the couple of days it waited to dry the Jewells spawned again!
So, here they sit with...
Ok this should help us common folk get some idea of what us NW guys have and currently are trying to breed.
I will go first
Caquetia Umberfiurm Gorillus Blue F1 pair
Caquetia Umberfiurm Gorillus Black F1 pair
Caquetia Umberfiurm Rio Magdelena F1 male F0 female
Caquetia Umberfiurm Rio Mag...
I have a 10-gallon grow out tank for my Aspidoras sp. CW052 that also houses the last of my Corydoras gracilis and 2 Aspidoras pauciradiatus. Found some eggs adhered to the thermometer yesterday.
Either the CW052s can spawn at a much smaller size than anticipated or the pauciradiatus spawned...
My first spawn ever! So, uh, now what? Do I take the fry out? I really don't have room in my house for another tank to raise them, though I suppose I could wrangle up a 10-gallon tank. Anybody want some fry?
Right now, parents and babies are in a 55-gallon tank with a bunch of tetras, a...
Ok, it looks like I have one of my regular BNs has been in a cave for a couple days now. All I basically see is his tail, when I shine a light into the cave, it looks like he's fanning something in there ... is it safe to assume that he has a spawn in there??
Well, I thought that GBRs weren't suppose to spawn in hard water ... FFX county water is always 180+ on my API test but look at what I found yesterday when I got home from work :)
So in a weeks time I had 3 spawns from my community tank with about 8 rams 6 angels 4 torpedo barbs cories endlers Otos etc
This is the first spawn for them all!
First off it started in a secluded corner where the eggs lasted 2 days and were probably eaten because that night I left the light...
I noticed that my Apistos were acting a bit odd, and the female was all colored-up tonight. When I approached the tank, she darted into a pleco cave that I had put in there about a week ago for some ancistrus....
well, I guess she really liked it for herself!
My wild caught Cyno. Afra White Likoma spawned for the first time today I have some pic's of them around the spawn site. I nervous that the Kingsize might hybridize with the afra. All they did is chase both sexes away. the male kingsizei did not court the female afra. I also never seen the male...
I wasn't trying to breed these yet but my Green Terrors spawned in my 55. Too bad mom laid eggs next to the 304 intake. I may try to save them or at least come up with a pre-filter. Any suggestions on a DIY pre-filter for a Fluval intake tube.
First time spawn in the Gymno tank. Found her guarding eggs that she buried in the sand. Unfortunately so did the Oblongum :(

I guess my SW tank is doing pretty well if my clown fish spawned. I started a small SW tank back in 2005, almost 4 years ago, in a 20G. Had all sorts of problem. Upgraded to a 36G Bowfront a couple of years ago, and basically maintained status quo. No skimmer, no fancy set up. Just doing weekly...
