Hello everyone looking to buy some companion South American species for my Discus tank. Preferably some apistos, cardinal tetras, etc. Suggestions welcomed.

You should keep an eye out for Biotodoma cupido - they are a larger dwarf cichlid that appreciates the high temperatures that Discus thrive in. Rummy nose tetras can also make for a very nice display in a Discus tank due to their tight schooling. You won't find Cardinal tetras captive bred, for the most part, because the fry are photo-sensitive, so it's difficult to rear them even when you get a spawn. We've had good luck with black neons in our Discus tank. Unlike cardinals, they're large enough that Discus can't eat them :)
