I have a nyererei in one of my tanks Ill post a pick when I get home I think the pattern is a bit different though. The face is darker and the lines don't present on the top of the fish. I will be the oddball and say it favors the haplochromis sp 35 tomato hap

I believe your the closest so far, I’ve bred Nyererei before and it has significant differences from them. Species 35 Tomatoe Hap definitely looks more accurate from the looks of it.

There can be variations within a species, even from the same group, but especially from different collection points. It could be a tomato hap, but you could also make a case it could be 5 other types. Nice looking Vic though either way.
