Seachem Matrix

I've been reading some very positive reviews on Seachem Matrix, specifically with the reduction of nitrates.

Cost seems pretty reasonable and I'm considering a purchase.

Anyone have experiences with this product?

I have it in some of my tanks. I think it's perfectly fine biomedia, but I have no way of knowing whether it is better than all the other types, such as the Eheim, Fluval, or Cobalt varieties.

As far as nitrates go, I doubt that any biomedia is truly effective at reducing them, and you'd be far better off relying on water changes to reduce nitrates.

+1 on Matt's comments. I use the pond version in my FX5s (it is just a little larger stone). Works well as biomedia.
