Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dan obviously, I have been into aquarium keeping since I was 16 and started with an Oscar and a 30 gallon tall , that I ran for 3 years without any knowledge of tank sizing and such. Well now I am back into the hobby with both feet, I currently have a 125g stocked with tiger oscar, yellow oscar , gold severum , red spotted severum along with two goofy looking blood parrots. I realy want to get into cichla ! but that will have to wait till I can find that perfect 250+ gallon tank. I also have 4 discus in another 75 gal(my girlfreinds tank , that i clean and run)she feeds lol.

Also on another note I have been having problems with my account on this site, wondering if anyone can point me to the person that handles all the accounts and such.

Awesome site for the locals.

Welcome to the forum, Dan. Try to check out the meeting on Saturday.

As far as problems with the site, your first couple posts are moderated and need to be approved before you can post at will. Shoot me a PM if you have other issues/questions.

Welcome Daniel - once you have three posts you should be cleared and have access to most everything (except the Members Only area) - hope you can make a meeting and meet some of the folks - this is truly an exceptional club and very knowledgeable about most fish related things - especially cichlids!!!!

Where would I find information on the the meetings you guys have also. I tried searching but couldnt find anything except for aquamania , which I will be attending for sure.

Also not to get off topic, but does anyone know of a good place to get custom cut glass around Gaithersburg or near by, I need a few sheets for my 55 gal wet/dry I am setting up. Was gonna go with acrylic but like the clean look of glass.

Meetings are held at JFK high school in silver spring Maryland. There are directions on the home page of the forum. If you are using the mobile app for access, this may be harder to navigate.
