Meds, BB, and filter

If you're using meds that definitely kill your BB, then isn't chemical and biological filtration pointless with it?

Do you just up the aerator instead?

Especially since I'm stuck doing water changes every day....

You'll need to re-establish your bio filters after treating the tank with certain meds. The meds may or may not kill all of the bacteria and other "bugs" in the tank. Some folks remove some of the filters (like sponges) prior to treatment, so they can add them back later.
