Glass lid for 110 gallon Tall with no brace

I am trying to figure out what kind of glass lid I would need for a 110 Gall tall (48" wide x 18" deep x 30" tall).. There is no center brace - and all the lids come in two parts..

am I missing something?

I think 4 foot tanks with no center brace are usually older tanks and made with thicker glass. The newer tanks all have center braces and thinner glass walls, so manufacturers aren't making lids for the old tanks any longer. Becca's suggestion to get them custom made is probably the way to go.

Probabably around $100

Are they really that much? I would have expected $8 to $10 a square foot for the glass.

It depends on the complexity. I've only had to do it for oddly shaped tanks and I always have the edges sanded to avoid cut fingers

Order a replacement frame with center brace ($17) from Over the Edge:

Then you can get a couple of 24 x 18 glass hoods at any LFS or Amazon
