Fish clubs in NJ

Hi All,

just wanted to see if anyone knows of any local fish clubs in NJ similar (kidding, at least half as good as!) to CCA.

I have recently relocated to NJ and would like to get my feet wet again as I have started to settle in the new place.

Btw, i moved very quickly and did not get a chance to say a proper good bye and thank all the CCA folks for making this hobby so much fun. I am sure i will stop by one of our meetings to say hi..

Thanks,

Dhaval

There is also the Jersey Shore Aquarium Society. I'm not sure that you'll find many clubs with a (relatively) active forum like the CCA. I think most clubs use other social media these days.

Also, take a look at the NEC site:

https://www.northeastcouncil.org/

Under the "clubs" tab, you'll find most of the aquarium clubs in that part of the country.

There are two very active fish clubs in Jersey.

http://www.njas.net/

http://www.jerseyshoreas.org/

They have great speaker program, great auctions twice a year, occasional group activities like collecting native fish, but not much forum discussion like CCA. The njas runs the best and most diversed species auctions.

Stay out of East Coast Cichlid. It’s not a fish club, just a crook running auctions to profit his pocket. He is banned by this and other fish clubs.
