Dave's Rare Fish Group Buy

DiscusnAfricans

Past President
Setting up a group buy with one of my favorite vendors, Dave Schumacher. Delivery will be to the hotel friday evening.

Dave is generously offering a 10% discount and free shipping for all orders, and is donating some fish for the rare fish auction as well. Dave has one of the best selection of African cichlids, as well as a great selection of fancy plecos and other catfish.

Order cutoff will be Tuesday March 7th, visit his site at www.davesfish.com. To place an order, email him at daves@davesfish.com, or call him directly at 1-210-599-9444.

If I were to get back into African cichlids, I'd get my stock from Dave. In addition to being one of the best people in the hobby and really knowing his stuff, he's been generous beyond words to CCA and the hobby.

I don't know what to tell you to get.
I am picking up some Lemon Jakes to replace the ones I had.
I am picking up some mbuna that I had before but got rid of because
after they grew out I found a genetic defect. Got rid off all and the fry. That hurt. lol

Phenochilus is a fish that (in my experience with their close relative P. electra) needs to be the dominant fish in the tank to really thrive and breed.

Maybe the Lethrinops "Red Caps"? Beautiful and pretty mild. Was also looking at the Protomelas annectens - a fish that I've had my eye on for awhile and is supposed to be mellow - but looks like Dave's only got females right now.

If I get back into Malawi some time, I'm gonna grow out some giant Taenelethrinops :)

Yeah, if you've got females, I don't know that I'd put much else in there as you would likely start a war, especially if your fish are adults. If they are younger, you may have a shot.
