Found this little salamander guy next to the floor drain in my fish room. Ive seen several in the past but unfortunately they were dead.

It's a juvenile Eastern redback salamander. It's terrestrial and needs springtails, or melnogaster fruitflies, or small isopods to eat. If you plan to keep it. If not find a spot in a wooded area not near the road with a lot of leaf litter and watch it disappear.

I found another right after posting this yesterday. There are quite a few of them on my lot even though I don't really have any dead wood or leaf litter around the house. I always use to find these guys as a kid turning up rocks near creeks. Such an amazing little animal
