At what size should I start looking for pairs to form?
I have 5 of these from 4 to 5 inches and they are still schooling tightly.
Occasionally one will break off to go dig in the sand of gravel but it's not the same fish every time.
I thought I was having some aggression issues with some nicks and scratches to the scales (nothing breaking the skin) but I think it's more from the hardscape scratching them(lava rock) which I will be replacing with river rock soon.
