Ask Me

What plant do I use for my foreground? I would like the front part of the tank covered with something low growing and spreading? Do you have any plants for sale I can use in this setup?

Thanks

Gerard

With discus I suggest you do not plant the foreground. Having a planted
foreground will cause issues with food getting trapped in there (assuming
you're feeding them well) and will not allow the dicus to blow in the sand to
kick the food up.

However, if you really want something in there you can
use Echinodorus tennelus var. micro
Hairgrass
Marselia crenata or Marselia drumondi

What kind of plants would you recommend for a 70 gal tall (36x18x25 tall) tank w/ Julidiocromis Marlieri ciclids & big pieces of live rock from an old salt water set up? Do I have to have a sand bed or can they grow on live rock.
