This guy is my favorite out of all. Male up front, female hiding behind. I have had the male about 2 months and the female about 4. They seem to be doing well. I try and give them good hiding spots behind plants and caves. I plan on adding many more plants.

Sadly I am looking to part with my group of 6 4-5" geophagus altifrons. The only reason I am getting rid of them is I have come to hate sand as a substrate and I can not change it with them in the tank. These are very colorful / peaceful sand sifters. They do grow large. As far as I know no one...

It seems to work well I have had it in the 125 with a titanium heater (might need to upgrade that one soon) but the tank stays around 80...

Two out of the five Geo Altifrons have paired off recently. They kind of protecting a piece of flat rock under the driftwood and chase other fish away. They're at most 5". Does pairing mean breeding is near? They are quite young.
I have geo altifrons for sale they are approx. 3 to 3.5 inches and are sold in groups of three for $40.00. Buy two groups get and get 1 fish free. I will try to get some pics up tomorrow.
Recently, my synspilum has become aggressive with my bocourti, so I think its time for him to move on. Its about 10 inches long and very beefy. Asking $40 or open to trades of other ca/sa's.
Also have a geo orange head and cutteri 4-5" free to a good home...I'm regearing my stock...
Just went to feed them and they started spitting babies out all over the place. Given that they share a tank with 10 medium to large yellow and red firemouths, about 20 Buenos Aries and Columbian tetras, 6 Biotodomo cupidos and ten huge Corydoras robustus (and friends) I''m moderately amazed...
6 adults. Anyone who has bought my altifrons knows that I must have been breeding them. This is my breeders. I am closing down the fishroom and moving. I think there are 3 males and three females but cannot be sure. One female was holding 2 weeks ago when I ripped the tank down(took out 5...
I have a few females of Geophagus steindachneri and would trade 2 for a good size male (3 inches or so). Or maybe I have something else you might want. Or will buy. Can pick up at the May meeting.

My bahia is getting huge and not quite fitting in with the current stock list that I'm trying to keep. He's bigger than in the pics, probably 7" tl now, very active friendly fish, nice golds and reds. If you give him some krill regularly his color will pop, but he'll gladly accept anything. I'm...
I got these guys at the September meeting from George and they have quadrupled in size!!! I love them but they are going to force me into putting them into a bigger tank sooner than I expected. I feel bad cuz they are crammed in with my discus, blue rams, cories and a couple plecos. Im seriously...
