The pleco when found had its tail nipped and the front fins eaten. I believed that this was done after it was dead as we had seen it earlier and it was not being harassed and appeared to be okay.

WOW!! What a money saver. Since I am a novice, under what circumstances would you use melafix? When an anitbiotic is needed and do you need to remove the charcoal? What strengths per gallon of water? Again I need all the help I can get.
