To be honest I also think you should put a sump on it... or you could plumb it directy to a canister filter, but uhhh I'm not sure I would ever really do that.

So you could put a pump (or airline I guess) at the bottom back into the main tank and put filter floss or foam and make a matten filter style thing that looks like an overflow :/ or buy a cheap 40 or 75g and make a sump...

I also have some fancy blue line, and culls from said line, I don't keep that many guppies... someone else is gonna buy the super dumbos apparently and I'll mostly have young ones left, or my original parents that I don't want to part with at this time. The blue line also doesn't have those...

To be honest I've never used play sand and I got all my pool filter sand a long time ago now, these days I use black "sand"/coal slag from tractorsupplyco when I am using sand, and I've got a lot of dumb soft water / calcined clay substrate tanks which basically only comes in "white" as kitty...

hrm I don't know if it's as white as mystic white, probably more beige, but you can do like instore pickup of pool filter sand from acehardware @ 12.99 a bag... but you might need to wait for them to ship it there otherwise it's like 20$ avg shipping for 50lbs of sand.

I have one I would trade for a stand to hold a single 55. I am using it for a 33 long, but otherwise they are made by Caitec in Baltimore under the brand name titaneze or something like that. You can order direct from them or amazon is like 10$ cheaper. They used to be < 100 before petco killed...
