I'm slowly getting back into fish. I am looking for any Pseudocrenilabrus sp. as well as some Tilapia mariae. Also, some Sarotherodon mossambicus black form only. If you have any please let me know. I hope to get down to see you all within the next two months.
Thanks, Lonny
The current name of the fish you posted is Nimbochromis livingstoni. It was formally known as Haplochromis livingstonii and was grouped into the Genus Nimbochromis. Some of the exporters are not up to date on the taxonomic changes to fish names. This fish is from Lake Malawi. There are several...

I believe this fish is refered to as the "Batik" arowana and I believe they have been bred in captivity already. Lots of nice fish will be coming out of myanmar. The galaxy danio is from there as well.
I would suggest you move the fish to a separate tank by himself so the fish don't pick on his wound. Bare bottom tank is fine. I would also use an antibiotic in his water for a few weeks.
Jay doesn't carry much in the way of South / Central Americans. Jay does deliver fish to the meetings. If he isn't coming to a meeting and I am I would be glad to bring them for you.
It's moments like this that make me realize once again that this is the greatest country on earth. If only the people who "run" this country could figure that out. Thanks for sharing the pics Phil.
You could try Jay Stephan at www.cichlidsarespecial.com He is located in York, PA and is a member and sponsor of the CCA. He ships fish as well as delivers fish to the meetings.
